Garnett Harrison

Garnett Harrison grew up in Mississippi during the civil rights movement, witnessing freedom fighters and demonstrations as a child in the Delta.

As a young lawyer in the 1980’s, Garnett represented abortion clinics and worked in the Battered Women’s Movement. She has practiced law as an advocate for women and children in Mississippi and Southeast Georgia for over 45 years.

Garnett enjoys river life in Jacksonville, Florida with her partner of 30 years, her family of three children and grandchildren, and her larger community.
