When The Fabulous Dyketones played primarily straight venues, they used the name Trez She Na Na. This was bandleader Char Priolo’s play on words referencing the rock and roll band Sha Na Na to give a clue as to the general style of music. The year was 1988. The Dyketones used two personas in their performances, Act 1 and Act 2. Lissa LeGrand was Penny Loafer (far right, top photo) and Robbie DuWop (second from left, bottom photo). The Dyketones signed this publicity picture for Josie Grable’s parents, Mimi and Daddy are in the upper left corner. Left to right, both photos: Sherry Hackney as “Goodie Two-Shoes” above and “Eva Destruction,” bottom on keyboards, flute, vocals; Char Priolo as “Chukki Linguini” above, “Cha Cha Linguini,” bottom center, on lead vocals; Brenda Lyons as “Bobbi Sox,” above, and “Candy Cane,” far right bottom, on drums and lead vocals; and Josie Grable, second from right in both pictures, as “Evva Lil Thang,” above, and “Bo Dacious,” bottom, on lead guitar, harmonica, and vocals.
