Salkana Schindler
Salkana Schindler, author, earned her BA degree in literature, teaching high-school level English before pursuing graduate work. From UCLA, she earned her MA degree in dance-movement therapy, in addition to her MS degree in nursing.
Salkana Schindler is the senior content editor and a member of the editorial review board for Crone Chronicles 20-20: Inspiring Glimpses into the Lives of Women 52+ (published in 2020), managing editor Debra Gish. She also edited Debra Gish’s first book, Displaced: A Perilous True Story of an Expatriate Working to Right Wrongs from the Past (published in 2017).
Incorporating feminist spirituality, empowerment, and movement, Salkana Schindler has led groups, workshops, and retreats for women since 1988. In the 1990s, she founded Moving with Spirit, through which she also led spiritual retreats in remote places in nature. Thrilled to edit for SLFAHP, she is an intergenerational feminist, her mother having been a member of Texas NOW.
