Carol Kraemer

Carol Kraemer was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1984, she earned her bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation at Western Kentucky University. In 1987, she earned her master’s degree in therapeutic recreation at the University of Kentucky.
Carol Kraemer and Laura Shine started playing music together in 1988, while Carol was director of a senior center in Louisville.
Carol Kraemer worked as the organizational manager of Louisville’s LGBTQ rights organization on the Fairness Campaign from 1996 to 2004. She currently directs a scholarship fund for student activists, the Davis-Putter Fund (www.davisputter.org).
