Barb Parks

Barb Parks is happily retired from paid work, I’m thrilled to be able to contribute in a small way to this wonderful, SLFAHP project as a transcriber, WordPress team member, and website editor. My adult career began at age 35 as a computer programmer. Soon, I was dragged into teaching programming and software applications. I spent 25 years designing, developing, and delivering online and classroom technical, professional development, and safety training for adults. My specialty was teaching others how to teach adults in a way that made learning fun and easy.

The career stuff was tempered by immersion in lesbian music, writing, and land culture. Many of the SLFAHP project team members and women interviewed have long been my sheroes. Knowing that they are being memorialized is very satisfying.
